Enrico Maria Cacciari started 1997 as vocal coach at the Scala in Milan, since 2000 he has held the same position at Opernhaus Zürich.
He studied Piano, Cembalo and Organ at the Conservatories in Modena, Bologna and Milan and chamber music in Fiesole. His teachers were Dario De Rosa and Maureen Jones. As pianist, cembalist and chamber musician he has appeared in many chamber music formations and orchestras, among which the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra Mozart and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
As a guest, he has been invited to many renowned musical institutions, like the Rossini Festival Pesaro, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Edinburgh Festival, Cleveland Orchestra, the Salzburg Festival, and the Festival Lucerne. He collaborates with conductors like Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Christoph Eschenbach, Daniele Gatti, Daniel Harding, Enrique Mazzola, Franz Welser-Möst, Nello Santi und Marcello Viotti. In recitals he has accompanied singers like Barbara Frittoli, Elena Mosuc, Javier Camarena, Massimo Cavaletti, Carlo Colambara and José Cura.
