Rebecca Meitlis is one of Europe’s most renowned Feldenkrais Practitioners. She is a guest professor at the Polish National Opera Studio (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw), teaches at the Glyndebourne Festival and at the Royal Northern College of Music; she has also given workshops for The National Opera Studio, London and the chorus at Opera National de Bordeaux.

When Rebecca Meitlis completed her training as a Feldenkrais Practitioner she decided to focus her practice on performers, building on her professional experience in Opera and Creative Learning.  
Her career in opera began when she was awarded an Arts Council England bursary to train as a director with Scottish Opera. In 1984, she became a staff director at English National Opera. Over the following years she worked on many productions and directed several acclaimed revivals. At ENO, she co-founded and co-directed the learning and participation department, the Baylis Programme. Since leaving ENO she has worked in a freelance capacity for many arts and education organisations including Youth Music, Creative Partnerships and The Britten Pears Foundation. Rebecca has published an article about her work with singers from the Warsaw Opera Academy in the Journal of Theatre, Dance and Performance Training titled „Connecting through the breath towards expressive communication in performance; an enquiry into the training of Opera singers„.
