German Mezzo-Soprano Hedwig Fassbender is one of the most renowned voice teachers of her generation. She also works as Systemic Coach, helping musicians to find solutions during difficult moments of their career.  
 

From 1999 – 2017, she held a professorship at the Conservatory of Musik and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main (HfMDK), where she trained many successful young singers like Björn Bürger, Ruzan Mantashyan, Sebastian Kohlhepp, Katharina Magiera, Kateryna Kasper, Sofia Pavone, Esther Dierkes, Gurgen Baveyan, Stine Fischer, Marie Seidler, Samantha Gaul, Julian Habermann… She regularly works with the Opera Studios in Paris, Zürich, Staatsoper Berlin, Frankfurt, Basel, Detmold and Warsow. Many singers hold her professional counsel in high esteem.  

 Hedwig Fassbender sustained an international career of over thirty years. Beginning with lyric mezzo roles, then on to parts like Sieglinde, Isolde and Kundry, she was later frequently engaged as Kostelnička in Jenufa, Herodias in Salome, Babuschka in Igrok… She performed in houses in Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Wien, Mailand, München, Monte Carlo, Oslo, Lyon, Bordeaux, and many others. Some conductors with whom she collaborated include Vladimir Jurowski, Iván Fischer, Kirill Petrenko, Riccardo Chailly, Donald Runnicles, Armin Jordan, Adam Fischer, Kazushi Ono, Karen Kamensek, and Sebastian Weigle. Stage directors: Harry Kupfer, Herbert Wernicke, Robert Carsen, Willy Decker, Laurent Pelly, Nicolas Brieger, Peter Stein, Keith Warner, Richard Brunel…
