Irina Bartels studied fashion design in Hamburg.
Since 2004, she has worked as a freelance costume designer for theatre and opera.
She has created designs for, amongst others, the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Schauspiel Essen and the Schauspiel Bochum. Further productions have taken her to the Frankfurt Opera, the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur, the Vienna State Opera, the Glyndebourne Opera Festival, the Göteborg Opera, the Royal Opera House in London and the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg.
The photos show the work with Amélie Sator who had to cancel this year’s course.
